WTFkery of the Mind Boggling Kind.

You know, I’m not fond of jumping on the bandwagon of internet trending. (Which I’ve mentioned before). But last night it was brought to my attention that a fellow author was “outed” by someone in her community. And frankly, I find it just bizarre beyond belief that this is getting the attention that it is. The woman is a high school English teacher by day…and an erotica novelist by night. Ā So what? She’s been teaching for over 25 years, without incident. Clearly her writing has not been an issue in getting the job done. She had a pen name and a PO Box, so obviously she was keeping the two things separate (and with good reason, as we can see.) With all the things going on in the world today that are so much more important, how can people get their self-righteous panties bunched up so easily? I can understand… Read more

Rambling…and Title Contest Winner

Obviously I didn’t blog yesterday, but it was Easter and we had family stuff to do. Plus, I’m starting to get a little more selfish with my time (if that’s even remotely possible.) But I am trying to cut myself a bit of a break from time to time and I decided to let yesterday slip through the cracks. And really, on a good note, I was able to rebuild that 4k I hacked from last week and get some additional words in…and now I’m all caught up to where I was (and hopefully the book is headed in a better direction. *I* feel a little better about it anyway, and that’s probably all that matters.) Hmmm. Maybe I *should* be blogging less? Otherwise, things are starting to get back on their normal schedules. Please Hush

My characters are Chatty Kathies of the worst sort. I had a few hours of free time last night, sans family. Thought I’d take advantage of that and try to get in some solid writing time, that *wasn’t* at midnight. I’ll admit that I’ve been feeling a littleĀ ambivalentĀ about this third book. Partially because of the way the last few weeks have gone and partially because of some stuff happening behind the scenes. Ā But I also know that when it seems like I’m actively avoiding working on the ms, it’s probably because I’m heading down the wrong path. This is one of those panster type things, I guess. And I don’t really like to go back and edit a first draft as I’m writing it.
