Sometimes it’s really awesome having artist friends – especially when you’re having a crappy day and they send you cute sketches of your DA2 character making out with smexy Fenris. (TY, Aimo! mwah!) Yeah. Anyway – so the thing about trying to keep up the blog here ever day is that it feels sort of odd. I’d always tried to keep the more “quality” posts here and the more random ones over at Blogger, but here I am. I spent a fair amount of time going through some of those imported posts this weekend, particularly on Saturday -right now I’ve only got the last year’s worth actually set up. It’s a tad frustrating at times, because I realized I tended to get a lot more comments on the Blogger blog than here, but when I imported the posts here, I had to make a decision as to how I was…

Scripting
Took a little break from blog posts last night. Might not have been the wisest thing, but honestly I was itching to do some scripting for Fox & Willow and I don’t like fighting the muse when she decides to kick in. And since Aimo and I check in a weekly basis to discuss the overall progress, I like to actually have something to show her. 🙂 I’m trying a slightly different mechanism for this chapter. First chapter is called “Came a Harper” and has a lot of setup going on, but because I was still getting my brain wrapped around the idea of scripting (and it’s nothing I’ve ever done before), I started out writing it more like a short story and then going back and highlighting the bits that would go into the comic portion. (And a lot of that is at Aimo’s discretion anyway – we discuss…

Running Out of Words
Well, not really. But one of the problems with being a daily blogger is trying to come up with new topics for guest blogs. On my own personal blog I feel like I can pretty much talk about anything. Gaming. Writing. Stupid videos. Naked men. Whatever strikes my fancy at a given moment. But when I’m a guest on someone else’s blog, I usually feel as though I need to deliver something with a bit more quality than just “Hey – funny unicorn humping a dolphin video!” Sort of like going to someone’s house I guess. And of course, then you get like what I had this morning, where I completely forgot I owed someone a guest blog (outside my tour, so I’d neglected to put it on my schedule). And I got an email going “Where is it?” And there’s that little moment of panic and resignation as I…

Heads Up
Okay, I’m going to be all over the place this week as far as guest posts and interviews go, but I did want to give people a heads up that tomorrow I’ll be at Jeffe Kennedy’s blog (link coming) where I will give away a custom drawn sketch card by Aimo. Details will be on the post, but if you’ve ever wanted to own a little bit of BoD art, now’s your chance. Also, on Tuesday, I’ll be at Bitten by Books for a virtual release day party and I’ll be giving away a $75 gift card to Amazon – if you want to raise your chances at winning, please go here to RSVP. Otherwise, I’ll just be updating the blog daily with where I’ll be on a particular day – there will be chances to win signed copies of A Sliver of Shadow throughout the month, as well as…

Sad Sausage Dogs Update
Just a little post to say that Sad Sausage Dogs is now “unofficially” up and running, though there are still a few bumps to flatten out. However, we’ve got a Twitter page and Facebook fan page up now as well and eventually the comic pages and additional updates will automatically feed into that. (And once we get going with that, I’ll probably feed it onto my own Facebook pages too – we’ll have to see. Even though Fox & Willow isn’t running yet, Aimo does have some fun little bits of art we’ll be uploading there as we go, and today we’ve started with a piece she did for the Womanthology Valentine’s Day extra, so go check it out. (Link to her recorded LiveStream too, so you can watch her work!) As an aside, Aimo also drew us little avatars. And I have to post mine here, because honestly? Phineas…
