Word Whore Thursday
I’m over at Word Whores today talking a little bit about kissing (along with a little excerpt of Brush of Darkness – Abby and Brystion’s first kiss in the book yay). I’ve also got an interview and giveaway over at Dark Faerie Tales, so stop on by there for a chance to win A Brush of Darkness. π Also, special thanks to everyone supporting the jewelry effort – it’s definitely appreciated!…

Brush of Darkness Jewelry!
Special news today, folks – the awesome @psynde of Cemetery Cat Designs has unveiled a new line of jewelry based on A Brush of Darkness! The line is called CrossRoads and KeyStones. (Please note that the store only shows what’s in stock – within 15 minutes of the announcement on Twitter two of the three pieces were sold, but I’m putting the pictures up here anyway, since synde is making more and will take orders as well) <== This is Abby’s necklace, Heart of the Dreaming. (I believe the heart will be larger in the next set) <== This is Melanie’s necklace, Fiddler’s Green <== This is the TouchStone bracelet. I believe there will be different colored stones upon each creation, since each TouchStone bond is different. π There will be several additions as well, including pieces for Brystion and Phineas, and possibly a few more. …

Sadly this post has nothing to do with Rocky Horror at all, but I just felt like throwing up a shot of Frank-n-Furter anyway. (Besides, mr myn bought me the 35th anniversary edition on blu ray a few weeks ago, so props to that, right?) Longest running movie, ever! π No, my current happiness stems from the lovely set of tickets that showed up in my mail yesterday. π Yes, that’s right my loyal minions – next week I will get to go see his royal hotness, David Garrett, for the third time! With a meet and greet after the show! π So, yes. Let the anticipation begin. π <=Yay!!!!…

Unicorn WTFkery
I’m over at the League of Reluctant Adults today discussing unicorn wtfkery. Specifically a quick dabble in unicorn erotica/ pr0n, but only because I didn’t want to write about Valentine’s Day. Plus, in my research to find out just how much pervy unicorn stuff is out there, I discovered a few disturbing bits of literature (which I talk about in the blog post). I also ran across this really odd set of paper mache figures in an odd set of positions. With furries. Β Please note it’s NSFW, so view at your own risk. Needless to say, it’s quite clear that my pervy unicorn Phin has a rather large set of hooves to step into, and not one I’m going to be jumping to have him fill any time soon. (It’s also clear that there are some very odd people out there, but I guess that goes without saying…)…

Rambling

I’ve forgotten what it’s like to just sort of decompress sometimes. On an unexpected moment today, mr myn got up from sleeping a little early (yay, all night shifts) and suggested we do a little hiking. Due to time constraints we couldn’t do a massive amount, but I think we’ve found a nice new spot to do some family walking. I suspect in the spring it will be lovely. (Although I have to admit, sometimes it’s really nice doing the winter/fall walks like this because it’s so…quiet. Not very many people. Not too many animals. I rather like the insulated solitude of it all, even if it’s really a bit of a self-imposed illusion.) I will also point out that the Sketchers work out shoes that I have? Not that great for the woods. Alas. These woods were nice because it’s definitely an older forest. There’s very little underbrush, so there…
