Word-Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
It’s been a really long time since I’ve made one of these updates, but here we go. 🙂 On a personal milestone level – today is the last page for Chapter 1 of Fox & Willow! (All 156 of them…wow) To be able to have worked on a collaboration for 18 months is an amazing thing, and I’m very grateful to have done it with such an incredible friend and artist. (*huggles Aimo*) Of course, this isn’t the end of F&W by a long shot – we’ve got a short epilogue coming up in the next few weeks and Chapter 2 starts up in the beginning of December, so there’s more to come. A lot more. 🙂 Also on the radar today is my post on disabled protagonists on Word Whores. It’s been about a month since I’ve posted there, so I’m a little rusty, but hopefully I’ve done it…

Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
Popping in to mention I’m over at Word Whores today, talking about internal dialogue and how I tend to use it. (This is one of those things that really becomes a personal preference when it comes to writers and readers, so YMMV, as always.) Otherwise, new page of Fox & Willow is up (and holy cow, I just realized we’ve been doing this for over a year now??! Time freaking flies and we’re up to page 112. Â And getting close to the end of this chapter, I believe. Â Crazy, but awesome all at once.) In the meantime, I’m STILL locked out of my NWN MMO account. Finally got an email from customer support with a link to change my password and to let me know my account is currently banned. Once the password is changed, they’ll unlock the account. Which I did, but it looks as though my IP address…

Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
Yeah, I know I’ve been pretty bad the last few weeks with the blogging. Lots going on in real life – additional surgeries to plan, Â diagnoses to deal with, AC units to install…it’s been a rather lopsided time. (I’m taking a mini vacation this weekend to go visit Danielle though – just two gals and their laptops and comfort food for a few days. Really looking forward to it, frankly. I’m 90k into this first draft – still slower than I’d like, but I’m plugging away at it. Hoping to some good writing hours in on the train tomorrow. I just want to finish it so I can start ripping it apart.) As an aside note, the panel at Awesomecon DC went pretty well. (Shout out and thanks to Alma Katsu for giving me the heads up and inviting me along…and giving me a ride back to the metro afterwards.)…

I hate the fact that I didn’t blog but once last week. There are a number of reasons for this. New job stuff has left my brain a pile of mush for much of the time, and while it’s good stuff that I’m learning, I am running out of energy at the end of the day to do much more than attempt to recover enough to get some writing done. Â And the writing needs to come first right now. 78k in…and no end in sight. >_< (Yes, I’m reposting an image Aimo drew for me last year when I was hurting. No, I wouldn’t turn down a Fenris oil massage right now. At all. It’s just one of those sorts of days.) I find the lack of blogging irritating though, since for several years I’ve managed to blog every day about *something* – even if it’s not the hot topic…

A little site update here. A few months ago I had mentioned that I was probably going to look at moving the RSS feeds from Feedburner to Feedblitz. I started that process last night (and I’m doing the same for all my other sites as well.) So bear with me if you are a subscriber and you get duplicates for a day or so – hopefully not. >_< I’m giving a mega shout-out to Phil over at Feedblitz for 1) having perfect directions set up and 2) helping me to troubleshoot when I had some issues. I think this is going to be a great product and I’m very appreciative at having such great response time.
