More Unicorn Awesomesauce!

Four days left in my Win a Phin & ARC contest! So far, the haiku are brilliantly funny (and they just keep pouring in, so keep it up!) In the meantime, I need to give a shout out to @TheAntiM, for sending me my very own Avenging Unicorn playset. Honestly, shock of my life to find it in the mail yesterday, along with a lovely Elvis Christmas card. Color me shocked that anyone actually reads this blog and pays attention to my natterings of  “I want this.” LOL. Win a Phin! (and ARC)

To celebrate the upcoming holidays (and the release of A Brush of Darkness next month,) I’m hosting a mini contest! Winner gets an ARC and an awesome stuffed unicorn of their very own. 😉 Rules: 1) You have to write a haiku. Unicorn haiku would be preferred, but anything to do with bacon is a plus. (Bonus points if Hello Kitty or David Garrett is involved.) They can be raunchy. (If you feel like branching into limerick mode, that’s okay too.) You may enter more than one haiku. *ahem* Just had to throw this image up (culled from GoodReads) because it made me giggle my ass off. Alas, Abby does NOT actually wear an outfit like this in the book, and even I will admit there is a small group of my friends who like to play a “How did Abby’s fishnets get so torn up?” game, but there it is. (It’s a dirty game. I won’t repeat it here. LOL) I won’t actually comment in the Goodreads thread, btw, but I did think I could share it on the blog. Trimming Trees and Such

Our tree is crooked this year. Not overly so, but no matter what angle we put it it at there is always a bit of a slant. Straighten the top and the bottom goes lopsided. Straighten the bottom and the top bends backwards. Much like life, I suppose. *shrugs* In the end we just put it up and decorated it anyway, crooked limbs be damned. I doubt Santa will care one way or the other. (The kids surely don’t.). At any rate, it’s up now and ready to go. It’s strange, though.
