Word Whore & Fox and Willow Thursday
This is most likely my last post for the next week or so – heading out for vacation tomorrow and my internet will be fairly spotty. Sort of a shame since I really want to write up a post on the new Brave movie and some of the really asinine reactions about it, but that’s probably going to have to wait until I get back to be posted. In the meantime, I may post some beach pictures if I can, but to be honest, I’m hoping to just remove myself from all things electronic for a bit. (Save email. I’ll have my iPad, so it’s not like I won’t have *any* connections to the outside world, but the last thing I want to do is blog. Though there will probably be some writing going on – deadlines remain, after all.) In the meantime, I’m over at Word Whores today –…

I stumbled across this Tumblr site a few weeks ago called Hey Author. Whoever runs it is clearly an author, a reader, or someone who is fairly deep into the author culture on Twitter/Facebook. (And obviously has a bug up their ass about self-publishing). But as biting and obnoxious as some of the observations are, there’s a ring of truth to them too. (Some of them are completely over the top, but still – I’ve been “guilty” of several of them.) I’m guessing the author of the tumblr is trying to point out that these “writer problems” are pretty low on the list of real world issues. (But I suspect most artistic problems are. Writers aren’t the only groups who self-wank themselves into thinking they’ve got an emergency out of nothing – lots of artists do it too. Hell, most self-insulated groups do it, from the HOA to the PTA…

Word Whore ~ Fox & Willow Thursday
I’m at the usual places today – Word-Whores is a little post about vacations and the beach and summer stuff. (And speaking of which what is with this weather this week? All over 100 degrees and just so humid and gross.) Otherwise, I’m plugging away on various projects (and finally getting some news and details and hopefully I’ll be able to nail down some specifics that I can share in a bit.) And, of course, the latest Fox & Willow is up today – perfect picture is perfect, btw. It may not be a completely adult comic, but definitely expect a bit of boot-knocking and the occasional flash of skin in this series. Also? Gideon is such a delightful ass in this form…as a good Fox Spirit should be.…

Okay – I’m at a few places today, although there’s a bit of rehash, so YMMV as far as what you’re interested in. Of course Fox & Willow has a new page up, so go check that out for sure. 😀 (Next week’s pages are going to be fun. *grin*) Otherwise, I’m over at Word Whores today – if you want to know more about how I was taloned by a red-tailed hawk, today’s your lucky day. *ahem* Or you could go to The League of Reluctant Adults and see my stuffed vampire maggot and get a look at the cover flats for A Trace of Moonlight. And don’t forget my flash fiction contest for said cover flat (I even ran out and bought a silver sharpie for occasion, simply because I’m that awesome…)…

Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
Usual weekly updates today – first off I’m over at Word Whores talking about my favorite B-movies. (Which just happen to be werewolf flicks from the early 80’s. Give me some beasties and buckets ‘o’ gore and I’m all set. ) Otherwise Page 12 of Fox & Willow is up today, so do check it out. 😀 …
