Sad Sausage Dogs
So I’ve been hinting off and on for a few months about doing some extra projects on the side (aside from the writing), and here’s the skinny. As a for-fun collab project, I’m writing a web comic series with Aimo. (We’re looking at an online pub date of Spring 2012.) I’m doing this for a number of reasons – as I’ve stated before, I’ve always wanted to try my hand at this, and as a fan of comics and graphics novels in general, I’ve definitely got some stories in mind that I feel would translate really well to this particular medium. (And frankly, Aimo agreeing to collab with me is a bit of a pipe-dream come true. I adore her artistic style, so I’m very excited to see what we can create together.) As far as storyline goes, it’s going to be an original piece, not set in any of…

Seeing Double

I started wearing glasses some time in the 4th grade. I have a vague recollection of being able to see just fine one moment and then looking a something at the board and having just the faintest edges start to waver out of focus. I must have said something to someone, because shortly after that point, I ended up with glasses. (Although I have no recollection of the actual process of getting the things.) And of course, this was circa 1984, so the glasses I got were ginormous bug-eyed looking things, made of heavy glass. (Seriously, WTF was up with fashion in those days? We all look so damn goofy with our knee high socks and our short shorts. And giant puffy ringlet curl perms. And buggy glasses.) I got my first pair of contacts in 8th grade and I’ve never looked back, so to speak. And since my dad…

Late posting today but things got messed up. Two hour doc appointment became an additional two hour commute home from said doc appointment, thanks to a fuel spill and more accidents than I care to count today. And company coming for the weekend, which leads to additional manic cleaning. So…off to finish that and some additional project planning. And writing. And I got invited to participate in the next ST:TOR beta…so, maybe I can fit that in too. (And Skyrim. And DA2. And Planescape: Torment. I can’t seem to focus on a single game, atm – all over the place…) But in the meantime, I want to thank all of you for the overwhelming outpouring of cover love for A Sliver of Shadow. Now, I just hope the story lives up to the expectation! 🙂…

I Can Haz Cover: A Sliver of Shadow
And here we go! *muppet flail* Hmmm. Apparently I have to add a little more content here or it breaks my blog a bit. Sooo….yay! So here’s a little extra text that means nothing. (But isn’t it pretty??) Next thing to come will be a chapter sample, probably a little closer to release date. 🙂…

Word-Whore Thursday: What’s In a Name?

I’m over at Word Whores today, as per usual for my Thursday post. (All about names today.) And speaking of names, it is that time again – third book title time. I’ve still got my list from the last time we did this, so I’m working off that one and trying to come up with some new ones as well. Hard to find something that 1) Makes sense and 2) Rolls of the tongue. *goes back to brainstorming*…
