Okay – finally putting up some of the scheduling details! Thursday: I’m arriving in town that afternoon, but *probably* won’t be at the con. (Never say never and all that, but we’ll see.) Friday: Nothing scheduled, but I will be there and checking things out. (I expect I’ll be at the Expanding the Experience: Video Games & Comics panel because of reasons – but otherwise who knows?) There’s a distinct possibility I may run off and get another tattoo at some point during this day/evening. We’ll have to see. Saturday: Panel Myth Mixology: How Urban Fantasists Create the Perfect Cocktail Date: Saturday, October 13 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm Location: 1A08 Speakers: Allison Pang , Anton Strout , F. Paul Wilson , Faith Hunter , Kami Garcia , Kevin Hearne , Kim Alexander , Nicole Peeler , Theo Lawrence Description: Many New Yorkers know their Manhattans, Cosmos and Long Island Iced Teas. While the…

Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
Today started out with an utterly fabulous fuck-up on my part. Namely, I attempted to update a plug-in on the Sad Sausage Dogs website (you know – you just click “Update” and you’re done, right? Sure. Unless the update is apparently some sort of massive overhaul that completely changed the database structure and destroys your entire website.) Yeah. I screamed. A bit. (Actually, it was more of a muffled, “Oh, fuck me,” since I was in the office and that sort of thing is generally frowned upon. Anyway – turns out it there *was* a warning about the drastic nature of this upgrade, but I didn’t see it due to the way I way I went about it in WordPress. But after running over to the plug-in website and seeing that the changes are irreversible and not to do the update unless you were sure about it and had a back…

Little Headaches
So yesterday’s post got waylaid in several hours of me sitting in traffic on my way to the dentist. Because it was raining. And when it rains, people in the DC area freak out and forget how to drive. So my 20 minute commute to the dentist took me nearly 2 hours. (15 miles, btw.) And I had lost all my blog-writing mojo by the time I got back. At least as far as not turning the post into a massive rant about how much DC drivers suck. (“The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Guess I better drive AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE. IN CASE I ROLL OVER IN THIS MYSTERIOUS WET LIQUID THAT I’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE!”) *ahem* No, I’m not bitter or anything. I *am* a bit grumpy because I think I’m going through a little withdrawal on some of those painkillers I’ve been taking. It’s a…

A Trace of Moonlight Trading Cards & Excerpt!
So we’re finally heading into the final stretch before A Trace of Moonlight is released, so you guys know the drill. The book tour will be starting up in a few weeks and there will be giveaways and a live chat on release date…and here’s the latest set of trading cards by Darchala! We’ve got Charlie, Kitsune, Sonja and Robert in this batch (not counting the TartBarbie extra which I’m still deciding on.) I’ll be sending these off for printing soon – chances are I won’t have them in time for NYCC, but I will have them at WFC at the end of the month, so if you’re interested in a batch, let me know. 🙂 Otherwise, yes, the first chapter of A Trace of Moonlight is now officially up, so go tease yourself with that (though don’t expect any real answers to be forthcoming. I’m mean like that. It’s…
