Geek Girl Con or Bust

Posted in blog | Tagged , , , | Leave a comment
So in a nice last minute bit of awesomesauce, I’m going to be attending Geek Girl Con in Seattle in October. ūüôā However, I’m strictly going as an attendee, so no panels or anything like that – though I hope to hand out Fox & Willow/Abby Sinclair swag. If you’re going to be there, let me know! I’m really excited about it, since it will be a great chance to network with different groups of people and sit in on¬†some panels covering¬†industry topics that I’m rather passionate about. Hope to meet you there! ūüôā… Read more

Just a quick post to mention that it looks like I’m probably going to be attending AwesomeCon on April 20-21. It’s a smaller con from what I can gather, so I’m not sure what to expect, but small cons can be more fun than the larger ones in some ways. (I was NOT fond of being stepped on at NYCC last year – definitely a crazy time!) It looks pretty inexpensive, so if you’re in the area think about stopping by! ¬†(I’ll post more details about the panel once I know them, but I think it will probably be early afternoon on Saturday.) Hope to see you there!… Read more

Okay – finally putting up some of the scheduling details! Thursday: I’m arriving in town that afternoon, but *probably* won’t be at the con. ¬†(Never say never and all that, but we’ll see.) Friday: Nothing scheduled, but I will be there and checking things out. (I expect I’ll be at the¬†Expanding the Experience: Video Games & Comics panel because of reasons – but otherwise who knows?) There’s a distinct possibility I may run off and get another tattoo at some point during this day/evening. We’ll have to see. Saturday: Panel Myth Mixology: How Urban Fantasists Create the Perfect Cocktail Date:¬†Saturday, October 13 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm Location:¬†1A08 Speakers:¬†Allison Pang , Anton Strout , F. Just a little note to mention that I’m going to be at the Baltimore Book Festival on September 24 (the Saturday). I’m still working on the details of my schedule since I’m there as part of the SFWA and the Maryland RWA chapter and I’m trying to make sure I don’t get double booked. I’ll be on at least one panel and I’m doing a reading for sure, but I’ll post the times when I know everything. Otherwise, I’m taking a little break from the blogosphere this upcoming weekend (I’ll throw up the man candy tomorrow night, though.) Partially because it’s a 3 day weekend and partially because I’m going to be fairly focused on the copy edits for A Sliver of Shadow. They’re electronic this time around, so it will be a little different. I might just print it out anyway. There’s something about having a hard copy to… Read more

Okay, here’s a little run down on what’s happening as far as the AAD con goes. I won’t actually be there for the Thursday fun, but starting on Friday, this is where I’ll be: 11 AM – Character Fail Panel 3 PM – Odd Paranormals Panel Between 11PM – 1AM – I’ll be running the Hospitality Suite during some part of this time block. It’s also during the Mythos Ball. I haven’t decided if I’m dressing up for this or not. (even tho, yes I have elf ears and light up wings and all the rest. We’ll see.) Saturday: 11 AM – Demons Panel 2 PM – 4:30 PM – Book signing 7 PM – until 1 AM – the Steampunk dinner/ball. Yes I’m totally cosplaying for this one. ūüėÄ Otherwise, I’ll be kicking around and taking it all in. Open to pretty much anything. ¬†Ping me on twitter @allison_pang… Read more
