Making Faces
I’m not an actress. I don’t play one on TV. In truth, I hate the camera. (And I suspect the camera isn’t too fond of me either. >_<) I make faces. Like to the point where my kids have said “Mom, are you okay? You look so angry.” (This while I’m pushing the grocery cart through the parking lot or something equally random.) And it took a moment to realize that while I wasn’t technically angry…my characters were. Which sounds sorta nuts, but I’ve been pretty deep into brainstorming edits the last few weeks. I’ve been overhauling scenes and trying to add more emotional depth or whatever into the characters. The off-set? Apparently I’m acting it out in my head. And my face is reflecting that. The girl didn’t want her mother to be left behind, but believing herself to be one of the chosen ones meant that her faith made her go. That’s a pretty bitter pill to swallow, folks. It’s also pretty arrogant. I guess I just wonder at the mindset that is so…

Smackdown! & Updates
Okay – just a little post today to note that A Brush of Darkness is over at Bitten by Books today/this weekend as part of their Smackdown. So go check it out and vote for your favorite. 🙂 (Vote poll is on the right side column, not in the comments…) Otherwise, things are pretty quiet overall, although I will say that I’m probably going to have to leave the house this weekend if I want to get any editing done. I picked up a copy of Lego Pirate of the Caribbean the other day, and OMG it’s addictive. (And I’m a big fan of most of the other Lego games too, but it tickles me to death to play a little Lego Captain Jack. Not a fan of the split screen action, but guess that’s okay). Yes, I’ll probably go see the movie this weekend too. *cough* Gotta get my pirate action…

This has nothing to do with anything tonight except that I can’t stop laughing at it. The Fenris dance party mansion, perhaps? (Found over here –> https://haveatthee.tumblr.com/post/4724716021/so-uh)…
