Word Whore ~ Fox & Willow Thursday

Posted in blog | Tagged , , , | Leave a comment
I’m at the usual places today – Word-Whores is a little post about vacations and the beach and summer stuff. (And speaking of which what is with this weather this week?  All over 100 degrees and just so humid and gross.) Otherwise, I’m plugging away on various projects (and finally getting some news and details and hopefully I’ll be able to nail down some specifics that I can share in a bit.) And, of course, the latest Fox & Willow is up today – perfect picture is perfect, btw. It may not be a completely adult comic, but definitely expect a bit of boot-knocking and the occasional flash of skin in this series. Also? Gideon is such a delightful ass in this form…as a good Fox Spirit should be.… Read more

Rambly

Posted in blog | Tagged , , | Leave a comment
A bit of a late night post tonight. Things got a little nutty today at work and I couldn’t sneak in a post during lunch like I usually do. Happens sometimes – and technically I’m cutting into some of my writing time tonight to post. There isn’t even any real reason for it – I just feel like rambling a bit – and also? The origami book dragon there is totally awesome. 😀 But honestly I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed the last few days (and massively crankypants). Just a lot going on in author land. It’s not always about writing, you know? I’ve got some cons coming up so now there’s a bit of a scramble as to what new swag I want to order and plane tickets to get and people to contact about getting on panels or workshops or whatever. Do I want to place an ad… Read more

Clam Happy

Today is one of those days where I really, really wish I had like three or four more of me to get everything done that needs doing. And that’s about all I’m going to say. Otherwise it’s going to get all whiny and that’s no good.  … Read more

Writer Brain

I did the family thing yesterday instead of writing. Which always makes me feel incredibly guilty. I’ve been struggling a bit with the writing-as-second-career vs life balance thing for a while now. It seems as though I have less and less time to write, but I think maybe I’m just procrastinating more.  I was feeling a bit burned out after I finished the Trace of Moonlight draft a few months ago, so I fully admit to taking a month off from writing afterward (though I was doing all those blog tour posts. I just didn’t have any more words in me for a while.) And then I started working on this new book.  And it’s taken me a while mentally to get into it. Part of that was Abby’s voice sounded so strong in my head that I had a hard time making it NOT sound like her. (I think… Read more

Trading Card Requests

Posted in blog | Tagged , , | 10 Comments
So I’m gearing up to do an additional swag run for A Trace of Moonlight. Now that I’ve got the cover ready to go, that makes things like bookmarks and stickers easy enough, but I also want to do another round of character trading cards. It will be another round of four, like the other sets, but I have to admit I’m a little torn as to who to get Darchala to draw this time. I’m sort of leaning toward Kitsune, simply because I love fox spirits, and I think Dar would do magnificent justice to her, but there are so many other characters that would also be good. So, dear readers and trading card collectors, who would YOU like to see? Robert? Charlie? Benjamin? Roweena, Jimmy Sqarefoot? The Queen? True Thomas? Didi? Katy? Brandon? Sonya? Tartbarbie? (For a character killed off in the first book, I do seem to… Read more
