Fresh Pick
Well, yours truly hosed the resonator of her car this morning. (Stupid curb). While I wait for the local car shop to call me back and tell me what the damage is**, I thought I’d mention that A Brush of Darkness is Fresh Fiction’s Fresh Pick today! ** And by damage, I mean $$. Dealership wants $1200 to fix, so anything under that is a win, I suspect. Bleah. And yes, I realize that having my car engine sounding like I’m driving a crappy lawn mower every time I hit the accelerator isn’t life threatening. It is, however, extremely annoying. Guess, I’m just OCD like that. Mechanical stuff needs to work or I get cranky. ‘Nuff said.…

Trading Spaces
I’m over at The League of Reluctant Adults today talking a little bit about the trading card coolness that’s going to be happening at many of the conventions this summer. And sadly enough, I totally forgot to mention my Word-Whores post from last Thursday – the theme was sexual euphemisms of all things, so feel free to check that out as well. iPod Blues

Not that I’m obsessive or anything. Friday night, my iPod Classic bit the big one. 120 gigs of glorious music reduced to nothing more than a sad metallic grinding sound as the hard drive within started break down. It’s been breaking down for a while, actually – skipping songs here and there, freezing up when I try to forward to something else, etc – but I’ve been nursing it along for the last six months the best I could. Just about every time I plugged it into iTunes the last few weeks, Windows would freak out and tell me there was some sort of corruption on the drive, but no matter how many times I attempted to scan and fix, it never seemed to work. Finally, I gave up and tried to restore it, but the sync would get hung up over and over again, which would then cause Windows…
