Friday Ramblings

First thing today is a massively huge squee to my friend Bluenail (aka the Ninja Knitter), who sent me these fabulous hand-made arm socks. (or fingerless wrist-warmers, whichever). They are so soft and pretty and *warm*. I’ve been begging for a set of these since I’ve known her and now I get to cackle with glee every time I look down at my hands. *cackle* So, there we go. Otherwise, I am blogging over Sci Fi Chick today about Brystion and a little bit on romancing an incubus, so feel free to stop on by and ask a few questions if you like. Oh and for a bit of random amusement, apparently my book was selected by Mark Henry as part of his “Read a book in one day” challenge. Word Whore Thursday

I’m over at Word Whores today, as per usual, talking it up about why I like writing sex scenes. However, it does get a little TMI as far as some things in my personal life go (medically speaking), so fair warning there. And my usual disclaimer here is that I don’t talk about these issues to garner sympathy, but to let other women who have similar issues know that there *is* support out there. Having dealt with this particular level of chronic pain for nearly twenty years, I’m very much aware of the despair that can go along with it. Anyway, so there is that. Conventions and Such

I’ve officially signed up for a third convention this summer – the Authors After Dark con in Philly. And hey, I’m actually going to be on a few panels in this one (look for me specifically on the one about odd paranormal creatures in books. Go figure.) Even though the con starts on Thursday, I won’t actually be able to make it until Friday morning, my schedule being what it is – but I’ll definitely be there for the book signing on Saturday and the SteamPunk party. So that’s three cons this summer (plus a cruise in the Bahamas). Plus book 3 due in August. Gonna be crazy, but I suspect I’ll survive. *cough* Anyway. I’ve also gone ahead and gotten a PO Box.
