Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
Today started out with an utterly fabulous fuck-up on my part. Namely, I attempted to update a plug-in on the Sad Sausage Dogs website (you know – you just click “Update” and you’re done, right? Sure. Unless the update is apparently some sort of massive overhaul that completely changed the database structure and destroys your entire website.) Yeah. I screamed. A bit. (Actually, it was more of a muffled, “Oh, fuck me,” since I was in the office and that sort of thing is generally frowned upon. Anyway – turns out it there *was* a warning about the drastic nature of this upgrade, but I didn’t see it due to the way I way I went about it in WordPress. But after running over to the plug-in website and seeing that the changes are irreversible and not to do the update unless you were sure about it and had a back…

Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
Doing the usual thing over at Word Whores today – talking about time management. (Ha ha, yes – we all know I can’t manage time for squat. But like I mention in the post, no matter what I do, something happens. I attempt to go to bed early (ish, for me anyway) last night…and the neighbor’s car alarm goes off. For two hours. On for five or ten minutes…off for a few. On for ten minutes. Rinse and repeat. Until the DH finally gave up and tracked down the car at 2 AM and called the cops to have them deal with it. Which they did. But sheesh. New Fox & Willow up today! Huzzah!…

Okay – first off, the big announcement is that I’m officially allowed to talk about the Carniepunk anthology now. So yay! (And no, the picture here has NOTHING to do with me or the anthology, but it’s fabulous and very apropos. It’s called Fire Within Me and was created by the massively talented AF-Studios, so go check out the gallery on DA.) The Publisher’s Marketplace listing: CARNIEPUNK, an anthology which combines the carnival setting and the world of urban fantasy, a place of deception, where monsters wait silently in the dark, featuring short stories by authors Rachel Caine, Jennifer Estep, Seanan McGuire, Rob Thurman, Delilah Dawson, Kelly Gay, Kevin Hearne, Mark Henry, Hillary Jacques, Jackie Kessler, Kelly Meding, Allison Pang, Nicole Peeler and Jaye Wells, to Adam Wilson at Pocket, for publication in August 2013, by Suzie Townsend at New Leaf Literary & Media. I’m super excited to be a…

Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday
Bit of a later post tonight, but I was feeling a bit under the weather for most of the day. (Plus I’m trying to use my evenings to get back into my writing groove and wanted to get that done first. Still have about 100 words to go for tonight’s word count, but that’s close enough.) Anyway, I’m over at word-whores today, discussing my thoughts on Fanfic, so definitely check that out if you get the chance. It’s definitely a tricky topic and one that many people have lots of different opinions about. And page 38 of Fox & Willow is up now as well. 🙂…
