So I’m headed to the Authors After Dark con in August this year – here’s a little more info about it if you guys want to come hang out. 🙂 (As an aside, there’s a good chance that Kelly Meding and I will be setting up an impromptu bar game of Cards Against Humanity. Here’s your chance to be Card Czar, yo!) OOO Authors After Dark is coming QUICKLY and OMG this year is going to be INSANE! As always AAD is about the readers, and the amount of awesome we have put together for you this year, you would be INSANE not to attend…. First, our amazing Master of Ceremonies is none other than Alexandra Ivy! She will be doing a cool little event to celebrate your favorite gargoyle, Levet on Friday! Wanna know more? Check out the FB group where Alex will be talking about the awesome that she has going on! Torquere… Read more
It’s always interesting coming back from a con. There’s the usual physical exhaustion – eating and drinking in excess, staying up too late, socializing, panels, etc, etc. (I did no dancing this time, alas. Guess I’m officially taking off for the week, more or less. I can’t promise any blogging about the conference as it happens, though I’ll certainly try to take pictures. (I always say that…and then I almost never take any. Weird.) But tonight it’s packing and getting things together and then tomorrow I’ll hit the road. It’s going to be a busy couple of days, not only because of the con, but I got hit with the deadline for my story in the Womanthology issue yesterday. Script is due…Friday. So I have to fit that in around everything else. Hell, this whole month is like that – I’m working on polishing my short story. I have a proposal to write. I have other projects to do and a few websites to develop. In short? Booked solid for the rest of this month. It’s actually kinda crazy. *breathes deep* But first things… Read more
Putting this up a few days early, just in case anyone wants to mark their calendars. 😉 I’ll be getting into New Orleans Wednesday afternoon and bailing early Sunday morning, but otherwise my overall Authors After Dark schedule is this: Thursday: 11 – 12 – Panel: Light Paranormal 12 – 1 – Bookie Awards lunch (I’m up for 5, yo!) 4 -5 – Panel: Secret Sauce: Authors Reveal Their Favorite Tricks Friday: 10 – 11 – Panel: The Reader Responsibility: How to Keep Your Favorite Authors on the Shelves Saturday: 2 – 4 – Book Signing (open to the public!) – I’m giving away special swag for this one. Secret swag. Oh my. >_< So it’s a pretty laid back schedule for me – I am hoping to do some touristy things – if people are interested, maybe we can do an impromptu cemetery tour or something. 😀 Also, the… Read more
