So one of the things I’ve been working on is the possibility of getting BoD turned into a comic book/graphic novel. There’s some proposals kicking around out there, but as I’ve previously noted, publishing can be a very slow business, so it could be some time before I get any definitive yes or no. (Yeah, it really would be about the coolest damn thing ever for me. I love comics. I love manga. To see my words in this format would be so utterly brilliant I can hardly contain myself.)

Anyway, even if it happens I’ll probably have very little say in the artistic side of things – but while I was working on the proposals I did want to have some concept art on hand (the last of which has come in today.) In the next few days I’ll put some of the scene sketches here on the official website, along with their respective book passages.

If you happen to be a Bioware fan, you might recognize the artistic style of Aimo (who has a lovely way of capturing expressions – seriously, I’m in total awe here. If I could afford to hire her to do the whole thing outright, I would.)

As a side note, these won’t be available like the trading cards are – these are simply one-shots for my own purposes – however, that’s not to say I won’t commission some later for giveaways, etc. If you’re interested in the idea, please drop me a line and let me know and I’ll see what I can come up with. 🙂

I think getting BOD turned into a graphic novel would be awesome!  Your book would translate well into that format I think.  I also think giving away some of those one-shots would be awesome!  That picture you have for this post is amazing!  Good luck with all of it, I hope you get to hear good news soon! 🙂

Can I just say, I LOVE the idea of BoD as a graphic novel? Of course, I love the book, so it figures. I hope this happens for you. And nice new tattoo, BTW!

Heh – thanks! I would really love for it to happen as well. I’ve always loved the medium. If I had any artistic ability at all, I’d just write and draw all day.

  5. Just got to the part with the unicorn bite on the ass- OMG- hilarious. I am loving this book.

Of course you had me at “cat piss and cabbages”- you seriously did.
