Just a little this and that for the moment – I’ll probably come up with something a little more thought inducing later. 1) I’m entering the Golden Heart contest this year. Debated on it for a bit, and then figured why not? I have a MS ready to go, might as well toss my hat in the ring for the Cthulhu of unpubbed romance contests. I don’t expect to final since it’s not real “romancy” to start with, but I suppose you never know unless you try. (And now I’ve got an excuse to crank through revising my synopsis). 2) I won a pitch to Becca Stumpf from the raffle over at FF&P yesterday. I get 10 minutes in a chat room to pitch my book, and I need 3 sentences to start with. Something high level, I suppose. I usually quip about using a few lines from the story…

Words cannot begin to explain how much I love this woman’s art. I’ve been following her since her very early days on Elfwood, when she was still an art student, and I just love how successful she’s become. I also love the new tarot deck she’s done – it comes out sometime this spring. It’s not available for ordering yet, but I *did* just order up the companion book for it (major arcana). She does commissions, but I’m almost afraid to ask her how much they cost. LOL. Do yourself a favor and check out her website.…

Beach, Day Two
Sunset from last night at the bay (200 yards away?). Really lovely, overall. I’m at the end of the dock there with Connor and Lucy is running just in front the camera. (We were getting our crabs. Between today and last night we had enough for crabcakes before dinner. Or at least mr myn and Pop-pop did. I won’t eat anything that comes from the sea. Sorry. The marine biologist in me is not fond of eating what basically amounts to underwater spiders.) Today was a sort of iffy day. Weather was gorgeous, so that was fine. My kids, however, were acting up. Tempers were definitely off. Not sure if that’s just us “adjusting” to being on vacation or a combination of stuff (i.e. kids up too late, eating too much crap, etc). Probably a bit of both.
