The “Lost” Brush of Darkness Scene
Well, it’s not *really* a lost scene – more of an easter egg, I guess. For my guest post over at Tynga’s site today, I was asked to write up a discussion/dialog between Abby and Ion about sex in literature. Forgetting for a moment that Ion is an incubus and probably has a lot to say on the matter, I don’t always do very well with the forced discussion type posts, so for my purposes I thought short one-shot seemed like a better deal. (And given that Abby works in a used bookstore, the setting seemed pretty obvious.) Of course, Phineas does show up…and drives the conversation straight down into the gutter, but what else would you expect? As far as the story goes, it’s not technically canon for A Brush of Darkness, but I can certainly see it happening if circumstances were a little different. So stop on by…

Paranormal Spring Break
Just a little heads up that I’m going to be involved in the Paranormal Spring Break event next month. Sounds like there’s going to be all sorts of great bogs posts and giveaways from a lot of authors, so definitely think about stopping by. Mine Reputation Doth Proceed Me…

Word Whore Thursday
I’m over at Word Whores today talking a little bit about my neurotic tendencies dealing with reviews. And speaking of reviews, the blog-o-sphere blew up a bit yesterday with this post over at Authors Helping Authors. The original post was changed since it went up, but as you can see by the crazy number of comments, clearly a nerve was struck. And whichever side of the line you fall on, it’s pretty obvious that it’s a no-win situation, and it’s why authors really shouldn’t go there. Authors and reviewers – we’re all human and we all make mistakes and we all get angry and hurt, but the internet has made it so easy to shove your foot so far down your own throat that you’d be crapping boot leather for a week.
