Yes. This is the actual cover. (And many thanks to Michelle Miles for pointing this atrocity out on Facebook). Never mind that the raccoon looks like he has buttons for eyes – if that rabbit actually *could* close its mouth it would impale its own chin with its teeth. Which I suppose is better than having the teeth the other away around, because then it would be chewing its own brain. Of course..it *IS* a zombie rabbit. Maybe it would like that sort of thing. Lipton Soup, I’m afraid I’m going to have to think about giving you up.  It’s clear to me now that you’ve been seeing other people behind my back. And the evidence is inside you. But a goldfish?  Seriously? Do you have any idea how heartbreaking it is to be slurping away at your one-billion-milligram-of-sodium-per-spoonful goodness, just to be confronted by a flat and nasty looking goldfish cracker? The Ugly Duckling

You know, my kids have suddenly discovered Tom & Jerry. They love it, and I’ve been watching it with them – it brings back a lot of memories for me. Sure, it’s violent – but it’s cartoon violence, right? I don’t think my kids are gonna cut off the cat’s tail or slam each other in the head with baseball bats or frying pans. On one level, it’s kind of refreshing. The cartoons aren’t hiding behind some kind of PC message – the characters smoke, beat the crap out of each other, and in at least one episode, Tom actually dies via guillotine. Pretty hard core, honestly. I remember watching it as a kid and not really thinking about it – and judging by the way the kids giggle their asses off, I don’t think they are either. Yes, it’s true. It’s also true I’m in Las Vegas right now and I should have something far wittier to talk about. But I don’t.
