Word Whore ~ Fox and Willow Thursday: Con News

Today has been a bit of a busy day for a number of reasons. First up, I’m over at Word Whores, talking a little bit about promo. (And specifically about something called Shindig. Keep an eye out about that because I’m going to host some sort of Trace of Moonlight online party or something with it as we get closer to release date.  Everyone’s invited, yo.)

And of course,  a new page of Fox and Willow is up, so go check that out.

But the big news is that I got on a panel for NYCC. I don’t know what sort of small animals my editor had to sacrifice in order to make this happen, but I’m eternally grateful. It’s a UF panel about mixing up mythology (I’ll throw some more details up as we get closer to it), but it will include fellow Reluctant Adults Kevin Hearne and Anton Strout, as well as awesome peeps Amber Benson and Nancy Holzner, among others.

I seem to recall we were going to try to make up some mixed drink recipies to go along with our books, which means I’m going to need to enlist your help. (I don’t really drink for various reasons.)

*nods sagely*

I smell a contest coming up. 🙂

Also, I’m looking at upcoming cons for next year and one of the ones I’d like to try to hit in August is the Geek Girl Con in Seattle. I’d love to put together a panel or workshop for it, (writing based, obviously), so I’m hoping to get something worked out for that. (Anyone else going? Suggestions?)

Guess that’s it. I’m going to go hyperventilate in my cube for a bit now.

Congrats on getting on the panel! That’s so awesome. 🙂 If you’ve never been to Dragon Con it’s a great con. It’s Labor Day weekend every year. Now I’m off to read Fox & Willow!

Yeah – one of these years I’ll make it to DragonCon too. Next year I’ll be limiting the overall cons I think. I want to do a family vacation with the kids for one, and I won’t have a major release out next year, so I gotta balance out the costs. 🙂
